Happy Return to School Sisters After COVID-19 Lockdown

It is pleasure for us and our girls to be back in class after a four-month school closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic that hit Somalia.

We know that life during the COVID-19 pandemic is difficult for girls and that return to school is an important and hopefully welcome step for them to feel protected in school than in outside.

We know that going back to school will likely look a little different from what we used to before. But is important that schools take additional measures to help ensure students, teachers and other staff are safe when they return and also give confident for parents to send their children back to school.

As part of our commitment to protecting the safety of our girls, our volunteers will speak to students in schools to let them know social distancing, washing hands regularly and socialising & learning again.
